Japan Activates Low-Orbit Military Reconnaissance Satellite Constellation on May 28, China's Defense Ministry Warns

GateNews

According to Jin10 Data and Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin, Japan's Ministry of Defense announced measures on May 28 to strengthen space defense capabilities and activated a low-orbit military reconnaissance satellite constellation. Jiang Bin stated that Japan has escalated military expansion, breaching constraints of its pacifist constitution and deploying military space capabilities. The official noted that Japan has increased defense spending, conducted joint space military exercises with other countries, and sought to develop space weapons under the guise of defense.

Jiang warned that Japan's space militarization efforts heighten risks of space weapons deployment and arms competition, posing a negative impact on global strategic stability. He called on the international community to remain vigilant and firmly check Japan's pursuit of military space capabilities.
