Israeli Identity Security Startup Oak Launches With $60M Seed Backing From Accel, CRV, Greylock

Oak, an Israeli identity security startup, launched publicly on July 15 with a generally available product and announced $60 million in seed funding raised from Accel, CRV, Greylock Partners, AlphaDrive Ventures, Hetz Ventures, and angel investors. The company's software maps access to actual app usage and removes unneeded permissions in real time for employees, machines, and AI agents. Oak positions itself as a unified identity control plane replacement for legacy tools. Co-founder Shai Morag previously built Ermetic, which was acquired by Tenable for $265 million in 2023.
