According to The Times of Israel, reported on June 16, Israel canceled a large-scale airstrike on Iran originally planned for June 8 after U.S. President Donald Trump requested Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not escalate the conflict. Israeli Air Force Commander Omer Tischler confirmed in an internal memo that the air force had completed preparations to strike hundreds of targets deep within Iranian territory and was ready for takeoff. However, the operation was halted just one hour before execution.
