Iran's IRGC Navy Closes Strait of Hormuz, Issues Warning to All Vessels on June 13

According to Xinhua, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued warnings to vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on the evening of June 13, stating the waterway was completely closed. The IRGC Navy, broadcasting on a public radio channel, told all ships in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman that any vessels transiting the strait would be "firmly dealt with." The warning instructed all vessels to cease movement in the Strait of Hormuz pending further notice.
