Iranian Supply Cuts, Venezuelan Shipment Halt Push Asphalt Output Down 50% in May

GateNews

According to a Yide Futures report on May 11, Iranian crude supply shortages and halted Venezuelan shipments are reducing domestic asphalt output, with May refinery production down over 50% year-over-year.

Demand has fallen more than 35% year-over-year as high asphalt prices delay purchases. If the geopolitical conflict persists, asphalt faces significant supply tightness during peak season.
