According to Daily Star, on May 19, Iran is preparing a €50m (£43.5m) bounty for the assassination of US President Donald Trump in retaliation for the February strike that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of Iran's national security commission, announced that military and security forces are preparing legislation titled "reciprocal action" to formalize the payment.
Trump responded by warning he would issue "very strict orders" to "wipe them off the face of the Earth" if Iran attempted to act on death threats. The announcement comes as peace talks brokered through Pakistan are reportedly progressing, with Trump stating on Monday that the Pentagon had postponed planned military attacks on Iran scheduled for May 19.
