According to state media, Iran established the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) on May 18 to manage the Strait of Hormuz. An official account under the authority’s name was launched the same day and will provide real-time updates on developments in the strait, according to a post shared by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy.
