According to Iran's IRNA and Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree, the Yemeni Houthis announced today (July 20) a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, citing Riyadh's ongoing embargo on Yemen. The blockade, which took effect immediately, will prohibit Saudi maritime transit through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, potentially cutting off a major petroleum export route.
