According to Herald Economy, MBK Partners and Meritz Financial Group agreed to provide 200 billion won (approximately $153 million) in emergency operating funding (DIP financing) to HomePlus, a major South Korean retailer undergoing restructuring. The agreement was reached after Seoul Rehabilitation Court threatened to terminate the restructuring proceedings, prompting stakeholders to negotiate a compromise.
