Hanmi Semiconductor to Establish San Jose Unit by End of 2026 for AI Chip Expansion

According to Chosun Daily, South Korea’s Hanmi Semiconductor plans to establish Hanmi USA in San Jose by the end of 2026 to expand its presence in the US chip market. The new unit will provide local technical support and enable the company to work more directly with US foundries, chip packaging firms, and hyperscalers including Microsoft and Google that are developing AI chips.
