Haihenergy Plans Over 70GWh Long-Duration Storage Capacity Delivery in 2027

According to Haihenergy executives at SNEC 2026 on June 3, the company plans to deliver over 70GWh of long-duration energy storage (LDES) capacity in 2027 from newly built production bases in Chongqing and Shandong province. The company's product director Ye Zi said long-duration storage will be the key solution to balance grid reliability, decarbonization, and affordability. Haihenergy ranked second globally in energy storage battery shipments in 2025 with over 612 GWh industry-wide output, according to InfoLink data. Bloomberg New Energy Finance forecasts 2026 as a turning point for LDES deployment, with global new capacity expected to surge to 8.1GW/35.4GWh, nearly triple the 2025 level.
