According to Beating, Google announced support for an accelerator program targeting former employees' (Xooglers) AI startups, aiming to deepen ties with alumni and compete for early-stage cloud and chip customers. The 12-week program, backed by Google AI Futures Fund, will recruit 10–20 startups and provide each with up to $100,000 in funding plus $350,000 in Google Cloud and AI credits.
Participants will receive mentorship from former Google executives including ex-Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, plus early access to Google's latest AI technologies before public release. The program partners with Xoogler.co, an alumni community platform founded by former Googler Chris Fong, and Key Studio, co-founded by former employee Kushagra Shrivastava. Xoogler.co currently has over 35,000 global members, including 2,500 verified investors.
