Google and Blackstone Plan AI Cloud Company with $5 Billion Investment, Targeting 500MW Capacity by 2027

According to reports, Google and Blackstone plan to establish an artificial intelligence cloud computing company on May 19, with Blackstone providing $5 billion in equity capital and becoming the majority shareholder. Google will provide hardware including its TPU custom chips, along with software and services.

The new company targets 500 megawatts of computing capacity by 2027.
