According to Goldman Sachs, U.S. battery storage deployment will reach 172 GWh by 2030, up 50 GWh from previous forecasts, according to a July 16 report. The investment bank cited accelerating data center power demands and a 4-8 year utility grid expansion timeline, making energy storage with a 12-18 month deployment cycle the fastest solution. Globally, annual battery storage installations are projected to reach 2,100 GWh by 2040.

Goldman Sachs highlighted a strategic shift: battery storage is transitioning from a renewable energy support asset to essential AI infrastructure. FLNC became an exclusive battery partner for Nvidia's DSX Vera Rubin platform, expanding its data center pipeline to 12 GW, up 30% quarter-over-quarter.
