Global Semiconductor Equipment Delivery Cycles Extend to 1.5–2x on July 24; Samsung, SK Hynix Plan Advance Orders

According to Korea's Electronics News, semiconductor equipment delivery cycles extended to 1.5–2 times their original timeframes as of July 24. Equipment makers including Applied Materials, ASML, Lam Research, Tokyo Electron, and KLA—which collectively represent approximately 70% of the global semiconductor equipment market—reported extended lead times. Devices with typical six-month delivery cycles now require up to one year of waiting time.

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are monitoring equipment delivery schedules closely and considering advancing procurement orders ahead of original plans to mitigate risks of equipment arriving late at fabrication facilities.
