Global Hedge Funds Post Best H1 Performance Since 2013, April Returns 3.7%

According to PivotalPath and Goldman Sachs, global hedge funds delivered their strongest first-half performance since 2013, with April posting a record 3.7% monthly return. Fundamental strategy funds led the way, achieving 18.4% in Q2 and 17.4% year-to-date, driven by gains in equity trading and healthcare positioning. However, June volatility tempered gains: the Magnificent Seven ETF fell 9%, and systematic trading models gained only 1.1% for the month, impacted by sharp moves in U.S. and Chinese equities.
