Foreign Investors Withdraw Record $32.37 Billion From Korean Stocks in June

According to the Bank of Korea, foreign investors pulled $32.37 billion from Korean stocks in June 2026, surpassing May's previous record of $31.83 billion. The central bank attributed the outflows to weakened investor sentiment amid global AI investment concerns and profit-taking following recent stock price gains. South Korean equity has faced six consecutive months of foreign outflows, with the first-half cumulative withdrawal reaching $110.21 billion. Bond investments showed the opposite trend, recording $1.65 billion in net inflows over the same period, driven by expanded WGBI (World Government Bond Index) allocations.
