Five Chinese State Banks Gain $25.6B in Changxin Tech IPO, Holdings Worth 0.3%-10% of 2025 Revenue

According to Odaily and Caixin, on July 27, five state-owned Chinese banks hold a combined stake in Changxin Technology through their financial asset investment subsidiaries. China Construction Bank holds the highest proportion at 1.7% (consolidated), followed by Agricultural Bank of China at 0.95%, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China at 0.64%, and Bank of China and Bank of Communications each at 0.38%. Based on pre-IPO valuation of 2.63 yuan per share, the banks' combined book value stands at approximately 61.7 billion yuan. Following Changxin's listing debut, the equity appreciation portion is estimated to account for 0.3%-10% of the six banks' 2025 revenues.
