Federal Reserve Beige Book Shows U.S. Price Increases Moderate Across All 12 Regions

According to the Federal Reserve's Beige Book released on July 15, price increases across all 12 U.S. regions have either held steady or slowed compared to the previous reporting period. The report, compiled by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago based on data collected through July 6, showed that overall inflation pressures may be easing. Employment levels remained largely unchanged across most regions, with wage growth ranging from moderate to modest. The findings will inform Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's second rate decision meeting, scheduled for two weeks later.
