Farage Defends Undeclared £5M Crypto Billionaire Gift, Says He Can Spend It 'On Ferraris'

According to BBC Radio 4 and LBC Radio, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage on Tuesday defended an undeclared £5 million ($6.7 million) gift from Tether stakeholder Christopher Harborne, calling it "a purely private matter" and stating he could spend it however he wished, including on luxury cars. The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner is investigating whether Farage should have declared the 2024 gift after his election as MP for Clacton, as new MPs must register gifts above £300 unless unrelated to political activity. Farage insisted he was "not in politics" when he received the money and rejected accusations that the gift bought crypto-friendly advocacy.
