ECB More Likely to Recognize Unicredit's Control of Commerzbank, CEO Says

According to Andrea Orcel, chief executive of Italian bank Unicredit, the European Central Bank (ECB) is now more likely than not to recognize the bank as having obtained control of Germany's Commerzbank following its takeover bid. Speaking at Mediobanca's annual CEO conference in Milan on June 23, Orcel stated: "The probability of us being recognized as having control is now far greater than the probability of not being recognized."
