According to The Block, Digital Asset completed a $355 million funding round led by a16z crypto on June 11. Investors include the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Apollo Funds, BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, CME Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, HSBC, S&P Global, SBI Group, SoFi, and Tradeweb. CEO Yuval Rooz stated the round is equity financing, with most investors also serving as potential Canton network users. The capital will accelerate institutional partnerships, acquisitions, and project participation. Canton is a permissionless Layer 1 blockchain for institutional finance supporting privacy-configurable workflows and asset tokenization, with approximately $6 trillion in assets issued on the network.
