Cuba Acquired 300+ Military Drones, Plans Attacks on U.S. Bases, CIA Director Warns Thursday

GateNews

According to AXIOS, on May 17, classified intelligence revealed Cuba has acquired over 300 military drones and recently began discussing plans to use them to attack Guantanamo Bay, U.S. naval vessels, and Key West, Florida, located 90 miles north of Havana. A senior U.S. official stated the intelligence could serve as justification for military action, as the Trump administration now views Cuba as a threat due to drone warfare developments and the presence of Iranian military advisors in Havana.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe traveled to Cuba on Thursday to directly warn Cuban officials against hostile actions and urged the regime to abandon its authoritarian government to lift U.S. sanctions, according to a CIA official.
