CME's 24/7 Crypto Derivatives Market Sees $50 Million in Trading Over Opening Weekend

According to CME Group, its newly launched 24/7 cryptocurrency futures and options market saw over 7,200 contracts traded with a notional value of around $50 million during its opening weekend. The market launched last Friday and operated continuously through Saturday and Sunday. CME noted "clear demand" for the round-the-clock trading feature, which bridges weekend liquidity gaps in traditional regulated crypto derivatives.
