Citigroup Beats Q2 Profit Expectations With $24.77B Revenue, $3.15 EPS

Citigroup reported second-quarter revenue of $24.77 billion and earnings per share of $3.15. The bank exceeded expectations across key divisions, with net interest income of $17.13 billion versus an estimated $16.01 billion, and FICC (fixed income, currencies, and commodities) sales and trading revenue of $4.71 billion against a forecast of $4.56 billion.

Equity sales and trading revenue reached $2.3 billion, surpassing the expected $1.9 billion. Investment banking revenue totaled $1.55 billion.
