According to Shanghai Securities News, multiple wealth management subsidiaries of major Chinese banks, including Bank of Shanghai Wealth Management, Citic Bank Wealth Management, Ping An Wealth Management, and Industrial Bank Wealth Management, announced early terminations of financial products in recent days. The terminations span various product types, including daily open-end funds, products with minimum holding periods, and closed-end funds.
Beyond early terminations triggered by stop-gain thresholds, some products were terminated due to elevated redemptions and significant asset shrinkage. However, proactive terminations appear to dominate the trend, with early product closures becoming an increasingly common risk management strategy among wealth management firms.
