China's Water Ministry Issues Yellow Flood Alert on July 12 as Typhoon Bawi Approaches

According to China's Ministry of Water Resources, the ministry upgraded to a yellow flood alert on July 12 as Typhoon Bawi moves northward. Heavy to severe rainfall is expected from July 12-14 across eastern and central Yangtze River regions, eastern Huang-Huai areas, and northeastern China, with cumulative rainfall of 40-90 millimeters. Parts of central and southern Anhui, northeastern Jiangxi, eastern Zhejiang, and eastern Jilin will experience heavy downpours with 100-180 millimeters, with localized areas exceeding 260 millimeters.
