According to China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on May 12, Japanese right-wing forces are accelerating efforts to undermine the post-World War II international order and destabilizing the region. Guo stated that Japan’s “remilitarization” poses a threat to regional and global peace, and called on Asia-Pacific nations to remain vigilant and jointly resist Japan’s “new militarism” to safeguard the peace order essential for regional development.
