China's ChiNext 50 Index Falls 5% on June 1, Trading Volume Shrinks 441.5 Billion Yuan

According to Caixin Finance, the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets closed lower on June 1, with the ChiNext 50 index falling 5%, the ChiNext index declining 2.15%, and the Shanghai Composite Index dropping 0.27%. Trading volume shrank by 441.5 billion yuan to 2.88 trillion yuan from the previous trading day.

Market breadth showed over 3,700 stocks gained, including 166 limit-up stocks. AI application sectors led gains, with coal stocks strengthening, AI PC concepts rallying, and energy stocks rising, while CPO-related shares weakened during the session.
