China's Agriculture Ministry Seeks Coordinated Effort to Stabilize Pork Price Rebound, Avoid Volatility

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, pork market supply-demand relations have gradually improved since late June, with prices rising and breeding losses easing, said Chen Bangxun, director of the Development Planning Department, at a State Council Information Office press conference on July 24. However, overall pork supply remains abundant and the supply-heavy, demand-weak pattern has not fundamentally changed. The ministry will continue comprehensive production capacity management, release multi-channel forecasts, and guide supply-demand alignment. It calls on breeding farms to monitor market dynamics and arrange production rationally, and hopes all parties work together to maintain the current price recovery momentum and avoid sharp fluctuations.
