China Launches First Cross-Border Marine-Rail-Road Integrated Freight Service, Reducing Transit Time to 12 Days

According to CCTV, China's first integrated marine-rail-road international freight train service departed from Yantai Port today (July 21). The train, numbered X80442, carries commercial vehicles and auto parts containers in a seamless multimodal operation combining sea, rail, and road transport.

Cargo originates from Incheon, South Korea, travels by sea to Yantai Port, then by rail directly to Kashgar, followed by customs-monitored trucks to the border, and finally by road to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The complete journey takes 12 days, reducing transit time by 5 days compared to traditional logistics routes.
