Catena Labs Lands $30M Series A Led by a16z Crypto, Files for National Trust Bank Charter

According to The Block, Catena Labs, an agentic finance startup co-founded by Circle co-founder Sean Neville, raised $30 million in Series A funding co-led by a16z crypto. The company builds governance infrastructure for AI agent transactions, enabling users to set spending limits and audit trails before delegating financial execution to autonomous software. Catena has been accepted for filing a National Trust Bank charter with the OCC, which would establish it as a regulated fiduciary for AI agents.
