According to Guru Club, on July 13, ByteDance is exploring entry into the autonomous driving field, with the project led by Seed's world model team under Zhou Chang. The proposed autonomous driving scenario includes unmanned logistics, which would fall under ByteDance's VolcanoEngine automotive business line. ByteDance responded to the reports, stating: "ByteDance has many early-stage research and explorations in frontier AI areas, including physical AI, but has no plan to build autonomous driving business."
