BP Considers Selling Part of Egypt Natural Gas Assets, Output Down 40% Year-on-Year

According to Reuters, citing four sources, BP is considering selling part of its natural gas assets in Egypt on May 15, as new CEO Meg O’Neill restructures the company to reduce debt and focus on higher-margin projects. The company’s natural gas production in Egypt reached 518 million cubic feet per day last year, down approximately 40% from 2024 levels and down nearly 60% compared to 2023.
