BOE Hits Daily Limit on May 21 After Corning Partnership Announcement; Clarifies No Nvidia Business Collaboration

GateNews

According to an official statement on May 21, China's BOE (Beijing Orient Electronics) A stock hit the daily limit with a one-character limit-up, following the disclosure of a cooperation memorandum with U.S. materials company Corning on glass-based packaging substrates, foldable glass, perovskite glass substrates, and optical interconnect applications.

However, on the same day, BOE issued a risk warning noting that glass-based packaging substrates, perovskite, and optical interconnect businesses remain in technical exploration and validation stages without mass production or revenue generation. The company estimates these businesses will not materially impact operating performance within 2-3 years. Additionally, BOE clarified that it has not engaged in business cooperation with Nvidia, responding to media speculation linking the Corning partnership to Nvidia's supply chain.
