BNB Chain Plans New Layer-1 Blockchain Targeting 100,000+ TPS, Testnet by Late 2026

BNB-2.74%
On Wednesday, BNB Chain unveiled plans for a new layer-1 blockchain designed to handle high-frequency trading and AI-driven transactions at speeds exceeding 100,000 transactions per second. The network will feature sub-50-millisecond transaction confirmation and sub-one-second block finality, with a testnet launch targeted for late 2026 and mainnet release in early 2027. The developers also plan to implement TxStream, a system that bypasses the public mempool to reduce latency and front-running risks. Additionally, BNB Chain is researching quantum-resistant security features through account abstraction, allowing users to upgrade security without changing wallet addresses.
