Blue Origin's New Glenn Rocket Explodes During Test; NASA Delays Moon Landing Plans

GateNews
According to the Daily Star, Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket exploded on its launchpad at Kennedy Space Center during a static fire test on May 29, forcing NASA to reschedule its planned return to the Moon for the first time since 1972. A massive fireball engulfed the £75 million craft seconds into the hotfire engine test in Florida. NASA administrator Jared Isaacman said the space agency would conduct a full evaluation of the Moon return timeline following the explosion, noting that developing new heavy-lift launch capability is extraordinarily difficult. Blue Origin CEO Jeff Bezos stated that all employees were safe and the company would investigate the cause and rebuild.
