Blackstone Acquires South Korean Actuator Maker Futronics at $1 Trillion Won Valuation

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 20, Blackstone, the world's largest asset manager, acquired South Korean actuator and motion control technology company Futronics through its private equity fund, according to an announcement. The company was valued at approximately 1 trillion Korean won (roughly $750 million). Futronics founder and Chairman Go Jin-ho will remain in place as CEO post-acquisition to lead global expansion. Founded in 1993, Futronics supplies high-precision actuators to global automakers and has recently expanded into robotics applications.
