BitPay Secures Dutch CASP License to Expand Stablecoin Payments Across EU

According to PR Newswire, on Thursday, BitPay secured a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) license from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets, enabling the company to expand cryptocurrency and stablecoin payment services across EU member states under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

The approval aligns with the July 1 requirement for all entities offering crypto-related services to be regulated. BitPay's European head, Jonathan Arler, stated, "Europe is one of the most important regions for the future of payments."
