According to CryptoQuant, Bitcoin network activity has surged to its highest level since late 2024, reaching near-record transaction counts despite BTC trading down 17% in the last 30 days to $63,865—nearly 50% below its all-time peak of $126,080. Activity has been climbing steadily since January 2026 and is now just 7% below all-time highs set in September 2024. However, the economic value of these transactions has declined significantly. Small-value transactions of less than 0.01 BTC and 0.001 BTC now represent approximately 80% of daily network activity, up from 44% in 2023, indicating protocol-driven activity with high volumes but minimal per-transaction value.
