Binance Withdraws MiCA License Application in Greece, Suspends EU Services Ahead of July 1 Deadline

According to Binance executive Gillian Lynch, Binance withdrew its MiCA license application in Greece and suspended certain services and new registrations for EU users ahead of the July 1 deadline due to approval delays and regulatory uncertainty. Lynch stated that MiCA's success should be measured by the number of crypto companies brought into the regulatory system, and defended Binance's financial crime control measures against recent allegations reported by Wall Street Journal. Binance remains committed to obtaining new licenses and staying in Europe, Lynch added.
