Gate News message, April 24 — Belarus will allow crypto banks to support 26 cryptocurrencies and offer 11 types of services, according to Alexander Egorov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Belarus, speaking at the Digital Banking 2026 conference. The supported cryptocurrencies include major assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Toncoin, and Solana, as well as stablecoins.
The 11 permitted business categories include crypto deposits, crypto loans, crypto staking, crypto asset collateral, peer-to-peer and business-to-business crypto asset transfers, issuance of proprietary tokens by crypto banks, crypto asset exchanges, and custodial services. Egorov noted that the list is “dynamic” and will be updated based on investor demand and operational experience.
The regulatory framework is established under Presidential Decree No. 19 on “Regulatory Measures in the Field of Crypto Banks and Digital Tokens (Tokens),” signed by Belarus’s president.
