According to its latest technical blog post released on June 1, Anthropic disclosed that over 80% of its codebase is now generated by Claude AI, with engineer productivity increasing eightfold compared to 2024. The company warned that as AI systems develop recursive self-improvement capabilities, humanity should consider slowing frontier AI research to allow society time to adapt to these developments.

Anthropically also announced on June 1 that it has confidentially submitted a Form S-1 registration statement to the SEC for a potential initial public offering at a valuation exceeding $1 trillion, according to reports.
