Anthropic Launches Claude Design Major Upgrade With Two-Way Sync to Claude Code

According to Beating, Anthropic announced a major upgrade to Claude Design, enabling two-way synchronization with its Claude Code development assistant. The new version allows developers to run the /design-sync command within Claude Code to extract design system specifications from local codebases and seamlessly import them into Claude Design projects. Conversely, designs created in Claude Design can be directly handed off to Claude Code for code generation and implementation.

The update also includes a redesigned design system import tool that can extract specifications from GitHub repositories, design files, or local codebases with automatic validation. New editor features include drag-and-drop layout controls, element resizing, and alignment tools. The redesigned export functionality now supports PDF and PowerPoint formats. The update is currently available in beta for paid users on web and desktop platforms.
