Anthropic Introduces Rupee Pricing for Claude Pro in India at 1,999 INR Monthly

According to The Economic Times, Anthropic introduced rupee pricing for Claude Pro, Max, and Team subscriptions in India, allowing users to pay in local currency instead of international cards billed in US dollars. Claude Pro starts at 1,999 rupees (approximately $21) per month on annual billing, with higher-tier plans also available.

Anthropaic noted India is Claude's second-largest market. The company's India run-rate revenue has doubled since its October 2025 expansion announcement, and its Bengaluru office has opened. UPI payment support remains unavailable.
