According to CoinDesk, Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered crypto bank, has launched a new platform enabling banks to issue and manage tokenized deposits on-chain. The platform provides round-the-clock settlement services via blockchain without requiring banks to replace existing core systems. Anchorage handles blockchain infrastructure, wallet management, and smart contracts, while banks maintain customer relationships and deposit custody. JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Bank of America plan to jointly establish a tokenized deposit network by mid-2027.
