According to reports, AMD shares surged nearly 8% on Thursday, lifting its market capitalization back above the $900 billion mark for the third time in less than a month, hitting $910.63 billion at intraday highs.

Earlier this week, Goldman Sachs raised its price target on AMD to $640 from $450 while maintaining a 'Buy' rating. If AMD reaches analyst targets like Cantor Fitzgerald's $700 forecast, the chipmaker could cross the $1 trillion market capitalization milestone, following Micron's achievement on May 26, 2026.
