AMD Signs AI Chip Ecosystem MOU with South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT on July 23

According to South Korean daily Maeil Business Newspaper, AMD and South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT signed a memorandum of understanding on AI chip ecosystem cooperation on July 23 in San Francisco, announced on July 27. The agreement includes building an AI Center of Excellence in South Korea to support technology collaboration and AI chip software development among local enterprises, universities, and research institutions.

AMD will integrate its CPUs and GPUs with Korean companies' AI chips in inference applications, establishing a heterogeneous AI computing infrastructure. The partnership will also create an open AI computing ecosystem covering storage, networking, servers, and software.
