According to Warren Buffett's CNBC interview, Alphabet shares rose 3.65% to $370.82 following his statement that the company could outperform 90% to 95% of stocks commonly recommended by Wall Street analysts. The stock surge increased Berkshire Hathaway's stake value to over $31 billion, making Alphabet one of the firm's largest holdings behind only Apple and American Express. Buffett confirmed he personally initiated the Alphabet investment, which Berkshire began building in the third quarter of 2025 and continued through early 2026, including a $10 billion investment in June.
