Alphabet Joins Dow Jones, Replacing Verizon at $350 Per Share

According to CNBC, Alphabet will join the Dow Jones Industrial Average before market open on Monday, replacing Verizon. Alphabet currently trades at $350 per share, compared to Verizon's $46. The inclusion marks the addition of a fifth megacap tech stock to the price-weighted index, alongside Apple, Amazon, Nvidia, and Microsoft. The stock has gained nearly 12% year to date, outpacing the S&P 500's 8% advance.
